First Writing Workshop in Galveston, TX - May 7th
6 cities have been selected for writing workshops: Galveston, Georgetown, Laredo, Amarillo, El Paso and San Angelo. These cities are the smaller communities that reflect some of the best characteristics of Texas. They will serve to provide creative backdrops to uplift the voice of every kind of Texan. The public workshops will explore story telling through poetry. These workshops will allow novice or expert writers a chance to write about what they feel is best while also looking to answer the questions: “Who or what has been silenced? What needs to be uplifted?”
